- Anand Thangavel, brother of a patient with a serious bilateral hand injury
Hi to all readers, my name is Anand Thangavel. Here I’m writing about a plastic surgery operation undergone by my younger brother Thiyagarajan Thangavel on August 18th 2013 under Dr. Skanda Shyamsundar. On August 18th my younger brother met with an accident, in which his two hands were badly damaged, and his left wrist was nearly completely amputated. We lost hope and we thought that our brother would never be back to normal life and he would lose both his hands for ever. At that time plastic surgeon Dr. Skanda operated my brother’s hands for almost seven hours and he has consistently kept us posted on my brother’s condition and the recovery of his hand function. His words gave us enough strength that our brother’s operation would go well and that he will come back to normal life in upcoming months by keep on doing physiotherapy.
